Re:Car, a subsidiary of Re:Build Manufacturing, is a new company that is exploring development in the electric vehicle space.
Who we are looking for:
Re:Car is looking for an energetic, organized, experienced Logistics Lead to join our growing team. The individual will create and develop lean logistic strategies supporting all aspects of our company’s goals and performance. This position will be responsible for understanding and working closely with internal and external customer expectations, logistic sourcing, team development, and delivering efficient and cost-effective solutions to meet our program milestones.
This position will focus on full vehicle outbound strategies and will be instrumental in developing strategies that support all stages of our last-mile delivery. Having experience in this area (domestic truck + methods using rail) is what we are looking for.
Additionally, logistical experience with hazardous materials is a must have to be successful in this role. This will include lithium-ion battery modules.
Re:Car is also looking for someone that has 5+ years of experience with international shipments; understanding this process end-to-end, including HTS codes, tariff rates and business strategies around how to optimize these activities. Having a deep understanding of customs brokerage & continuous bonds is also something Re:Car is seeking.
What you get to do:
In this position the candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a lean high performing team to plan and perform domestic and international logistic strategies (inbound + outbound from manufacturing plant).
The Logistic Lead will also be pivotal in evaluating suppliers for production awards, supplier total landed cost, developing strong supplier relationships, and working with all internal stakeholders to support the company’s overall objectives and core values.
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree or equiv. in Supply Chain Management (or similar) or previous working level experience
- 10+ years of logistic experience (automotive industry preferred)
- 5+ years of experience with international shipments (automotive industry preferred)
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Ability to identify process issues and drive improvements to improve operational / supply chain efficiency and quality.
- Develop, edit and distribute supply chain-related, key performance indicators, portals, metrics and reports.
- Strong working knowledge of value driven supplier KPI and scorecard development and implementation.
- Knowledge and experience with ERP systems and implementation
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- High level of integrity
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment.
