Who we are looking for
The Site Controller reports directly to senior management at both Tekna and Re:Build Manufacturing, as well as the executive leadership team and is expected to represent the organizations financial goals and objectives through an impartial financial perspective ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. The role requires development of clear and objective reporting monthly, quarterly, and annually of financial information regarding the fiscal health of the organization, planning, and daily business activities as it relates to the company’s short- and long-term financial objective, standard and actual costs as well as profit margins.
What you'll get to do
- Responsible for all finance and accounting reporting within the organization as well as budgeting/forecasting and oversight of financial policies and procedures, including all payables, receivables, documentation, and billing practices. The role will identify and provide direction for high risk revenue cycles and cash flow analysis to ensure daily operations are maintained.
- Maintain oversight and strategic implementation of accounting practices and systems vital to improve financial accuracy and accountability throughout the organization and approvals for credit and billing terms for monetary contracts, capital equipment expenditures, and short/long term financial obligations.
- Develop and maintain ongoing analysis and close participation in inventory management decisions by developing functional reporting methods to identify inventory trends, efficiencies and opportunities that capitalize on product manufacturing’s financial outcomes, mitigate potential financial obstacles, and maximize fiscal opportunities.
- Analyze raw materials and labor and maintaining and improving processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory.
- Develop & maintain KPI's and other data providing insight to highlight issues, contain costs, maintain/grow margins, and identify profitable growth opportunities.
- Assist with third party on annual Tax and Audit.
What you bring to the team
- 4-year Undergraduate Degree, preferably in accounting
- 5+ years of overall accounting experience, Accounting manager or Controller experience preferred
- 2 years or more of prior working history with manufacturing businesses
- Deep understanding of the U.S. GAAP
- Experience with intercompany transactions a plus.
- Strong leader with a "whatever it takes" attitude; can thrive in a highly entrepreneurial environment and is very "hands-on"
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of the Company's financial information
- Works well independently, but understands importance of working as a team
- Ability to multitask and work towards tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy
- High integrity balanced with commitment to excellence and very strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel
