Who we are looking for
The Quality Technician (QT) – Metrology, shall be responsible for the programming and operation of Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMMs) and Articulated Measurement Arms (AMAs, e.g. Faro arms) within the Re:Build Manufacturing, Total Production Solutions (TPS-1) business.
The QT will analyze and interpret fabrication drawings, CAD models, to utilize PCDMIS software to develop and edit programs and inspect composite & metallic parts on CMMs & AMAs. This will include all aspects of troubleshooting and validation of inspection programs as well.
In addition to specific duties below, they will be able to undertake various ad hoc projects at management request due to their high competency and excellent communication.

Quality Control
Primary contact for programming and operation of CMMs & AMAs
- Write CMM programs & Inspection Guides to achieve inspection and part validation requirements and Inspection Control Plan requirements.
- Interpret MBE to facilitate inspection of component parts
- Document part inspection requirements and produce inspection reports
- Ensure CTQs are measured and recorded as required
- Attend and participate in Production and MRB meetings as requested.
- Support internal Q team as required.
Quality Management
- Review documentation used within the manufacturing environment and ensure accuracy against specified requirement.
- Support Purchasing and Supply Chain functions
- Follow procedures to meet all internal/eternal standards and specifications required.
- Issuing & Processing QNs/NCRs and supporting assigned owners (e.g. MRB) through to closure
- Attend & Support MRB sessions as needed
- Support continuous improvement/ Lean projects.
- To ensure that “Best Practice” techniques are evaluated & used where appropriate.
- Formally report any concerns or issues as identified
Machine TPM
- Support regular Total Productive Maintenance:
- Perform daily, weekly, & Monthly TPM on assigned inspection equipment
- Document TPM and identify special maintenance needs
- Liaise with equipment vendors as needed and support Quality department equipment planning
Problem Solving
- Utilize RCA & RCCA approaches to address barriers to inspection throughput
- Contribute to problem solving teams as required.
- Produce inspection reports, including but not limited to Measurement reports, Test reports, First Article Inspection reports, and program validation data.
What you bring to the Team:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 6 months of CMM or AMA experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
