Ready Responders was founded to empower people to improve healthcare right in their own neighborhoods: we give patients direct access to healthcare professionals, and we give our Responders the opportunity to provide care in their communities. Ready Responders is a non-transport service and provides only on scene care.

What You'll Do

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate accounting operational functions
  • Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and reimbursements
  • Create and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; recommend any amendments to accounting and finance policy, procedures and controls as necessary
  • Oversee Medical Billing, working with payers and insurance receivables
  • Develop departmental budgets based upon past spending patterns; monitor and analyze budget-to-actual expenses
  • Communicate with upper management regarding forecasting, budgets, financial and cash flow
  • Issue timely and complete monthly financial statements
  • Compile yearly audit schedules and assist with audit
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related area
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a controller or finance specialist
  • Management experience is a plus
  • CPA, CMA, CFMAC or MBA is a plus
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Continuous ambition to adapt new methods to streamline, automate, and simplify the Company’s accounting processes
  • Phenomenal report writing and communication skills
  • Able to effectively give, receive, and implement constructive criticism
  • Exceptional organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong integrity and ability to practice confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to work well without micromanagement
  • May occasionally need to work non-traditional hours
  • Unwavering commitment to improving the health of New Orleanians and building community
