Account Manager, Consumer Marketing & PR (Brands)

Our Consumer Brands PR team at R&CPMK is excited to add an enthusiastic and dynamic Account Manager with an expertise and passion within the consumer/QSR space to our dedicated team in Los Angeles. In this role, you’ll have a meaningful seat at the table, shaping strategy and programs with an integrated team for one of the world’s most iconic and beloved brands.

We are looking for a creative individual who is passionate about media relations and takes pride in maintaining and growing client relationships. The Fine Print:

As a member of this team, you will:

• Proactively generate new ideas and opportunities for both earned media and community programming/partnerships.
• Work side-by-side with the Account Directors to drive the day-to-day business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and other agency partners.
• Develop and drive programs that resonate with media while accomplishing client objectives.
• Manage time and responsibilities in an often fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Serve as a role model and mentor for junior team members.
• A view that no task is too small for you to assist with when it comes to overall account team duties.

 The Needs:

• 4+ years of media relations experience; large agency experience is a plus.
• Experience managing day-to-day client service and project management of large, multi-channel brands with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders; QSR experience is highly valued.
• You recognize that excellent client service is the key to our success and that drives your daily interactions.
• Highly proficient and enthusiastic about all aspects of media relations and story development - you understand what generates news and how to adapt a pitch/angle to a local news writer vs. national beat reporter; experience with local media relations is a plus.
• Experience engaging with and presenting to mid-to senior-level clients.
• Outstanding judgment when working with media, team members, client contacts, and vendors.
• Have a strong interest in multicultural programming; experience is a plus.
• Experience successfully managing simultaneous work streams (both planning and execution).
• Ability to quickly grasp business needs and priorities, trending topics and connect the dots in order to create timely media opportunities and strategies for clients.
• Excellent writing and editorial skills for media-facing materials and content for clients.
• Very organized with unfailing attention to detail.

Salary: $70,000.00- $80,000.00 annually

Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
