The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Network engineer to join our team! Your duties will include

providing day-to-day technical support on network configurations, installation, deployment, and operations. The network engineer will work on designing, implementing, and managing the networking infrastructure in collaboration with other IT Infrastructure teams. The network engineer will be involved in engineering project work and tier-2/3 operational support to increase the overall supportability and reliability of the enterprise technology environment. Additional responsibilities will include upgrading and/or redesigning existing infrastructure for improved performance and stability.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and people skills as well as the ability to provide professional and friendly service to users. The technician will be required to provide remote support for our users.

Roles and responsibilities;

  • Install and configuration of corporate network equipment. 
  • Troubleshoot Enterprise Network Issues such as Internet Services, Network Security Infrastructure, all Levels of Switching, and Wi-Fi.
  • Help optimize the network infrastructure to reduce latency, jitter, and packet loss
  • Perform maintenance, configuration changes, and upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security updates to network devices.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and QOS, LAN (Layer 2), WAN (Layer 3) networking protocols, VPNs and VPN protocols, and technologies including switching, routing, and security.
  • Experience in troubleshooting infrastructure, application, and connectivity issues.
  • Must have excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Creating and implementing network security measures.
  • Conducting regular network performance tests and creating network status reports.
  • Dealing with escalated network support issues.
  • Understanding of new networking technologies, and network design mindset.
  • Seamless and flawless network implementation approaches with 360-degree purview.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 5+ work experience as a networking engineer.
  • Advanced knowledge of network operating systems including Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Advanced experience in WI-FI installation and Troubleshooting. 
  • Knowledge of networking hardware including cabling, switching, and routers.
  • Familiarity with communication, routing, and switching protocols
  • Familiarity with network analysis tools
  • Proficiency with automation languages like Python, Perl
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
  • High-level problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Positive and professional demeanors

Good to have:

  • Experience with Endpoint Security Solutions (Cortex EDR / XDR)
  • AV/VC deployment experience  (Polycom, Zoom/BlueJeans)
