The Role:

We, at Razorpay,  are currently looking for an Intern - Product Development Engineer with excellent skills to join our engineering team. This position is part of our "Resume with Razorpay" program with a special focus on supporting women returning to work after a break. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing features based on product specifications and business requirements. In this role, you will work closely with our product management and engineering teams to understand API specifications and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure the successful implementation of features across different services.

Eligibility Criteria : 

  • You are women returning back to work and have and have relevant prior work experience aligned with our open requirements/roles.
  • You have taken a career break of at least one year due to personal reasons as childcare, elderly care, health conditions, or relocation.
  • You can commit to a duration of 6 months, depending on the project's nature and mutual agreement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Understanding feature requirements based on product specs and business requirements
  • Collaborating with multiple teams to ensure functionality across services
  • Writing extensible code to facilitate customization across banks/gateways
  • Adding necessary tests and alerts for new features
  • Participating in the team's on-call rotation to help resolve production issues
  • Continuously learning, collaborating, and working on multiple internal services
  • Building features from scratch and driving them to completion

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in application/web development
  • Good experience working with programming languages such as PHP, Golang, or Java
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and the web in general
  • Working knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Ability to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and develop effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
