Razorpay was founded by Shashank Kumar and Harshil Mathur in 2014. Razorpay is building a new-age digital banking hub (Neobank) for businesses in India with the mission is to enable frictionless banking and payments experiences for businesses of all shapes and sizes. What started as a B2B payments company is processing billions of dollars of payments for lakhs of businesses across India.
Position Overview:
As a Deputy Manager/ Manager in Financial Operations at Razorpay, you will be responsible for overseeing reconciliation, settlement and reporting processes for Financial Operations. You will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, optimizing processes, and ensuring the seamless management of funds and transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations involving reconciliation, exception handling, and bank account monitoring.
- Ensure accurate cost reporting in accordance with established processes.
- Coordinate with banks to address reconciliation and payment-related issues.
- Conduct post-nodal/bank account reconciliation and provide summaries to the accounting team.
- Ensure timely book closure from FinOps end.
- Maintain the health of nodal/bank accounts by monitoring fund balances and conducting age analysis.
- Collaborate with Tech teams to resolve various operations issues.
- Analyze fund discrepancies, research and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Track and report daily/weekly metrics to stakeholders.
- Handle large volumes of data for accurate validations and reconciliations.
- Work closely with Finance teams for reconciliations and funds management.
- Proactively communicate with external partners and internal teams on updates and issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify recurring issues and implement solutions.
- Plan operational initiatives and drive execution with product teams.
- Influence decision-making and change management with a customer-focused approach.
- Lead and motivate a team of 10+ professionals.
- Analysing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to optimize workflows and maximize productivity. You will collaborate with various teams across the organization to streamline processes, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to gather insights and identify root causes of operational issues.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workflow diagrams.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of process improvements and measure operational performance.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in commerce, Finance, or related fields; additional qualifications in project management or business management are advantageous.
- 6-8 years of experience in reconciliation and merchant settlement, with previous experience in team management.
- Prior experience in a payment gateway/aggregator is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Excel, for handling large volumes of data.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently or collaboratively within and across functions.
- Strong understanding of operations management principles and practices.
- Possess strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for driving operational excellence.
- Experience in handling statutory or compliance audits would be a plus.
- Experience with analytical and business intelligence tools will be an added advantage.
