Network Engineer SMEs to help lead the design, implementation, integration, operation, optimization, and maintenance of network solutions. The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background and hands-on experience in all aspects of networking engineering, including network security.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a fast-paced, collaborative, multi-discipline team in support of U.S. Government and provide technical subject matter expertise in the field of network engineering.
- Defines opportunities for new and improved business process solutions.
- The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background and hands-on experience in all aspects of networking engineering, including network security.
- Provide expert analysis and advice on business matters and IT solutions, to program officials and managers.
- Maintain computer networks including mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware.
- Install and configure network equipment.
- Create firewalls and update virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected.
- Monitor computer systems to improve network performance for all systems.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate networking issues.
- Implement disaster recovery procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices.
- Offer the best solutions and protection for company systems.
Qualifications
- 10+ Years of experience or relevant and transferrable skills preferred.
- Hands on experience with Fortinet.
- Proven expertise designing and supporting SD-WAN services in an enterprise environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.
- Experience partnering with senior-level client stakeholders, providing technical thought leadership, and bringing innovation to achieve business needs.
- Experience in DevOps and related disciplines highly desired.
- Working knowledge of Zero trust practices.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
