Raye IT is looking for an innovative and experienced Cloud Engineer to support a federal client within the Washington, D.C. area.
Responsibilities
- Design, testing, administration, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks to include vessels, aircraft, and shore networks.
- Automate the provisioning and managing of Infrastructure resources required for the project.
- Perform duties associated with the design, testing and implementation of Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks.
- Provide technical support related to LAN/WAN activities and end user needs. Must be experienced in the design and integration of multiple network operating systems, protocols and topologies.
- Develop standardized procedures for LAN/WAN operation and associated documentation.
- Evaluate new technology and makes recommendations for implementation.
- Analyze requirements for system upgrades and implementations including hardware/software resources, logistics and planning issues, testing and training.
- Plan and to direct the activities of other engineers and technicians.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.
- 8+ years of Cloud engineering experience
- 5 years of Enterprise Data Management (EDW) experience in administering and provisioning Database servers, data backup and recovery procedures, auditing etc using On-prem or Cloud products. (Highly preferred)
- Able to use Terraform at mid to senior level to build cloud infrastructure.
- 3+ years of experience using Azure cloud services in provisioning and administrating services such as Azure Data factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Analysis services and Azure Active directory.
- Continuous integration, test automation and / or DevSecOps on iterative development projects.
- Assist with leading and overseeing a total system perspective including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud, on premise, and hybrid services, infrastructure and security domains.
Preferred: Azure administration Certification.
Security Clearance Requirement: Public Trust.
