YOUR ROLE:

We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineer in Test with extensive understanding in testing UI, API’s and database.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, execute and maintain automated test scripts for functional, database, API and performance testing needs.
- Stay current with Quality engineering industry trends and identify new tools to introduce into automation tech stack including developing proof of concept.
- Develop automation guidelines and script maintenance instructions per project or account basis.
- Develop test data generation guidelines based on Principles of CRUD (Create, READ, UPDATE AND DELETE) for clean test environments.
- Ensure all test automation standards, guidelines, and script maintenance instructions are followed by team based on testing approach.
- Communicate project automation test results with all stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area.
- 2+ yeats of experience working with Java , Python programming languages.
- Experience in writing and executing stable and high-quality automated test scripts, analyzing and interpreting test results, and ability to identify, record and track defects.
- Experience in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress.io, Playwright, Karate etc.
- Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker.
- Experience in unit testing frameworks like Junit, TestNG, NUnit, Mocha and Jasmine.
- Hands-on knowledge of database testing, SQL/NoSQL (Any database management software: MySQL, Oracle, PostGres, mongoDB, Hadoop)
- Expertise with Test automation of REST API services using RestAssured library.
- Proficient in at least one version control tool (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps)
- Knowledge of assertion libraries such as should.js, chai, expect.js, better-assert.

This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
