YOUR ROLE:

The Account Director is a master of coordination, demonstrating high potential in core Business Leadership skills.  You will understand the agency portfolio of offerings and how to apply them to solve client business problems. You will partner with and own the relationships with client stakeholders. You are an agency driver who works to keep the agency operations moving along.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as a direct liaison between clients, cross-functional leadership, Marketing Sciences (MarSci) team and Army’s Analytics agency
  • Actively listens to client needs and feedback and can articulately communicate it back to our MarSci team with clear directions on next steps
  • Builds and fosters client trust and effectively manages their feedback and requests against the data analysis and reporting scope
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with the Analytics agency partner and become that bridge between our team and theirs across multiple data reporting projects and initiatives as scoped in the contract
  • Establishes and maintains strong internal relationships with data analysts and has an unshakable “can do” positive attitude
  • (In partnership with a PM) Proactively manages and oversees data reporting workflows, MarSci resourcing, and hours under/over burn
  • Works with PM and MarSci leads on reporting timelines and tasks to ensure that deliverables are met but is also comfortable in course-correcting the team if needed
  • Can manage projects autonomously and also actively support VP Marketing Sciences and/or VP Account Leadership in the management of more complex projects, client out of scope asks and cross-collaborations with agency partners
  • (In partnership with MarSci leads) Manage MarSci projects, reports, data pulls, data integrations, etc based on scoped activities
  • Ability to share data and insights cross-functionally and find integration points to other projects/workstreams where performance data could impact next steps and future planning
  • Responsible for overall client satisfaction and service/product quality
  • Has laser focus on attention to detail and manages feedback to data analysts
  • Builds relationships and establishes open communication stream with other agency partners (IAT)
  • Openly accept feedback (work performance and/or team performance) and ability to course correct
  • Stays calm and focused under pressure and can skillfully lead project challenges with a solution-oriented approach
  • Support MarSci team on weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting deliverables and help manage client expectations

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years experience in direct marketing, advertising, and/or digital marketing
  • Strong background or have 2+ years experience in data analytics and working with analysts
  • Previous integrated marketing account experience and/or CRM experience a plus
  • Possess excellent planning, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Is an excellent team player with outstanding communication, written and presentation skills
  • Possess basic exposure and/or foundational knowledge of database programs (Tableau, Excel, SQL, Python, etc) and have basic understanding of data output
  • Ability to build relationships and communication flow with clients and agency partners
  • Strong strategic skills and ability to develop storytelling decks that marries metrics and data insights with key project objectives, approach, and recommendations. Experience working with Strategists and/or Data Analysts a plus
  • Experience and comfortable in presenting to clients, taking their feedback and managing expectations based on scope
  • Experience in working on government projects, contracts and/or military/government client(s) a plus
  • Military veteran with experience in data analytics a plus
  • Can effectively manage cross-functional team members to ensure there’s collaboration, communication, and alignment in reporting
  • Ability and experience in pivoting and course correcting when challenges come up; Comfortable in partnering with internal team members and partner agency to find alternate solutions and manage timelines and expectations
  • Experience in working collaboratively within an IAT environment
  • Champions the work we do for the client and also serves as a voice for them internally
  • Has eagerness to learn and comfortable in asking questions to build their knowledge of the Army business and the inner workings of internal teams

This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
