The Social Media & Ambassador Coordinator is responsible for engaging & developing new audiences across organic and paid social platforms, and building a program of the most exciting & inspiring ambassadors in the industry. The Rapha Social Media & Ambassador Coordinator will be responsible for creating and executing campaigns that connect our communities, engage our customers & increase our brand reach across North America.

As Social Media & Ambassador Coordinator, you will report to the Head of Marketing, North America and will work alongside the US marketing team. You will collaborate with many other members of Rapha’s organisation, including Clubhouse General Managers & Community Leads as well as the Central Marketing team. 

The role and your skills:

Responsible for managing social media presence for all regional accounts 

  • Work with the Head of Marketing to plan, develop and execute communications across all organic and paid Social channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Strava Clubs, LinkedIn, Pinterest
  • Delivers the right amount of oversight and coaching to our local Clubhouse teams who manage their own Facebook and Instagram accounts
  • Stay current with social trends and how Rapha to best explore using new or existing platforms
  • Leverages relationships within the social media world and platform partners to maximize engagement with new and existing customers 
  • Work with the customer service team to resolve all community management queries that arise on social media
  • Ideate and execute exciting campaigns to engage audiences across paid & organic social platforms
  • Progress driven to set and exceed targets for all key social activity
  • Experienced turning large amounts of social data into meaningful commercial insights for the business at a rapid rate
  • Be a key contributor in briefing sessions, key campaigns and weekly content meetings
  • Collaborate with the US and Global marketing teams to ensure we are communicating against our business and marketing goals
  • Work closely with Content and Brand design teams to insure social assets are delivered to brief

Owns and inspires our North America Ambassador Program.

  • Execute the management of Rapha’s North American Ambassador program
  • Teacher of our values and behaviours to our ambassadors so they feel apart of our internal team
  • Keep our ambassadors close to the heart of Rapha’s brand through regular communication & relationship building
  • Build relationships with existing known and up and coming key figures in the cycling community across the region
  • Leads the program with an emphasis on broadening representation and inclusion in the sport through our ambassador program
  • Familiar with organising and mediating professional contracts on behalf of a brand

  • A well developed personal point of view for your own social media presence 
  • A reputation for being a positive ambassador for cycling
  • Strong communication & writing skills through a brands voice
  • Excited to work with a fast pace and agile team
  • Keen awareness of how to connect with audiences of different demographics through social media and personal relationships
  • Ability to plan and be flexible around an evolving communications calendar. Working on weekends, late nights and on some holidays may be needed from time to time.
  • Have a strong knowledge of the current cycling community in North America. Bonus for where we have Clubhouses.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing with a focus on managing social media platforms 
  • Experience of working with large consumer brands where brand integrity and commercial success are the focus 
  • Resonate with our values of Love the Sport, Think For Yourself, Suffer and Inspire others
  • The ability to travel if needed
