About the role
Range is hiring a QA Tester to join our product team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative financial solutions by creating and executing comprehensive test plans. With a focus on meticulous testing, bug identification, and quality assurance metrics, you'll collaborate closely with product managers and developers to enhance product excellence. You’ll be joining a small but mighty team and will begin contributing to Range’s rapid growth from day 1.

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mid-Level Quality Assurance Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our customer-facing and internal tools by creating and executing comprehensive test plans. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, keen analytical skills, and a commitment to excellence.
What you’ll do with us
- Collaborate with product managers and software developers to understand product specifications and design comprehensive test plans.
- Create detailed, well-structured test cases and test scripts for both new features and existing functionality.
- Execute test plans meticulously, identify bugs and issues, and document findings.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Monitor debugging process results and track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
- Advocate for quality standards and processes within the development team.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies to improve testing processes.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
- Assist in the development and implementation of automated testing strategies where possible.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
What will set you apart
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance testing, preferably in a SaaS or fintech environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proven experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a bonus.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
