Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of technical accounting standards as defined in collaboration with our Director of Accounting.
  • Direct and develop our accounting operations team that is responsible for maintaining the integrity, reconciliation, and revenue/cost recognition practices
  • Direct and develop our collection operations team.
  • Implement audit standards and collaborate on assurance preparation
  • Collaborate on the design and implementation of:
    • Short-term ledger and loan management solutions
    • Long-term enterprise loan management system
  • Lead the develop accounting standards and practices related to new geography launches, new product releases and new partner agreements
  • SOC Audit Preparation
  • Lead clean up initiatives for prior US and India transactions

    • You will work in close collaboration with our engineering, product, operations and legal teams on both the daily operations and launch of new initiatives.

    • Within the finance and accounting team, you will collaborate with our Director of Accounting and our Director of FP&A.
  • Leadership Collaboration
    • As the leader, owner, and advocate for the integrity of the financial transactions at the core of our business, you will work with various members of the broader leadership team to ensure the stability of our continued growth. 

Requirements & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in related fields inclusive of:
    • Audit
    • Accounting for loans or financial transactions
    • Data Engineering Experience – designing data architecture for:
      • Ad hoc reporting via Power BI, Looker or other data visualization tool
      • Design and delivery management of ERP solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work across departmental functions
  • Worked in a startup environment before, accustomed to handling multiple roles and competing priorities
  • Experience reporting directly with senior management
  • Prior management of globally dispersed teams
