We are looking for experienced Data Insights lead to help with our reporting and insights  initiatives for Rain. We want your help in the automation and building new data insights across the organization. You will help with data extractions for key metrics, building and maintaining critical data pipelines that support key orgs with their decisions. We expect you to help us in the design and building of our data insights strategy, with freedom to choose the best architecture and tools that are a good fit for our context.

You will work closely with all internal teams such as Tech, marketing, and Finance  supporting them with all their data analysis needs. As one of the first members of the Data insights team you will help form the foundation of a new Data insights group that will grow to support our expansion.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test, deliver and maintain comprehensive data analysis, reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with and internal stakeholders in groups such as HR, Finance, Product, Marketing and Tech to define and deliver Key Performance Indicators, benchmarks and trending metrics needed to operate the business
  • Works closely with a team of frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and analysts.
  • Create process documentation of reporting and reusable knowledge assets
  • Analyze, understand, interpret, and explain data trends to identify opportunities
  • Act as the “Product Owner” for the insights projects where you will be responsible for understanding the business needs and providing a robust BI reporting to meet those needs. 
  • develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
  • create interactive and easy-to-understand visualizations using best practices to effectively solve business problems by enabling business insights and making recommendations.
  • Partner with other Engineering teams to define new/modified data models needed in the data warehouse / data lake.
  • Collaborates with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization.
  • Implements processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
  • Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of work experience in business intelligence or analytics, or as a data architect.
  • 5+ years building visualizations using Looker, Tableau, SQL, Data Studio, data modeling and data preparation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and work management skills
  • Fluent English
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Process oriented with great documentation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
  • Ability in managing and communicating data warehouse plans to internal clients
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems
