About the role:

As a Business Development Analyst, you will assist in the strategic efforts to grow our business and work directly with our Capture Managers and Proposal Team. The ideal candidate has experience with business development, deal analysis, as well as the ability to compile and present ongoing key metrics to management and cross functional departments to assist in measuring deal viability and pursuit win probability. Daily activities will also include in researching competitors, reporting and acting on changes and market trends, and conducting target market/agency analysis to identify, qualify, and convert leads.

  • Support various business development/capture activities, including opportunity/lead assessments, pipeline management, and organizational/competitor research
  • Conduct market/agency analysis and to identify, qualify, and convert leads
  • Identify key areas for pursuit; conduct associated research on prospective bids
  • Review/manage various portals to identify applicable opportunities for consideration (ie sam.gov, govtribe, etc.)
  • Be a key component in developing the effective planning and execution of growth strategy, working cross-functionally with teams within and outside of the department
  • Provide thought leadership, innovation, and process optimization initiatives such as implementing software/process improvements and other industry best practices
  • Reporting and acting on changes and market trends
  • Working with cross-functional teams, both internally and externally, in support of processes and team goals; drive communication
  • Compile and present ongoing key metrics to management and other department supervisors to assist in measuring goal achievement

What we are looking for: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in business development/sales and or data analysis
  • Proficiency analyzing opportunities and making effective bid recommendations
  • Experience working in Business Development/Capture, including knowledge of the bid and proposal process
  • Hands-on experience and proficiency working with online pipeline management tools
  • Passion for the mission and learning
  • Strong communication skills
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's Degree
