Our Business team is a lean (still less than 10 people), dynamic group of highly analytical and technical individuals deployed to tackle high-priority cross-functional challenges that arise as our global operations evolve.
We provide starter projects that we know will add value to the firm, while encouraging exploration and independent projects to improve inefficiencies.
In your first 12-18 months, you’ll be asked to navigate ambiguity on daily basis, and collaborate with key stakeholders, team leads, and our founders to design and implement new processes, models, and tools to inform data-driven business decisions.
You’ll be entrenched in a fast-paced learning environment and have the opportunity to affect a wide range of functions, including business development and geographical expansion, post-trade analysis and reconciliation, trade operations, compliance, and risk assessment, and own significant processes and tools within your first few months.
By adding only a few new grads each year, we offer each a ton of responsibility, intimate mentorship from industry experts to expedite your early learning curve, and top tier compensation.
We’re looking for highly analytical people who want to help build the scientific, research-driven trading firm of the future. And to do that, you’ll need the following qualities:
> Creative Problem Solving and Probabilistic Thinking - You must enjoy learning and implementing new concepts quickly, combining knowledge from different domains to create new ideas, and take a data-driven and probabilistic approach to testing and implementing new ideas.
> Orientation for Making Money - Although we value academic training, our work is not an academic exercise. We take a hacker’s approach to testing ideas, dropping projects that consume time without high upside, and focusing our next efforts on what will create the most value for the firm.
> Team Mindset - We want people who understand 1+1 > 2 and are as committed to making the team better through sharing ideas as they are driven to improve their individual performance.
> Accountability - You follow through with what you promise and are accountable for commitments, responsibilities, and relationships.
> Effective Communication - You use data and logic, not emotions, to convey ideas and the value of your work to others – and try to remove human bias from the way we make decisions. You collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to deliver results at a fast pace, while seeking feedback, getting buy-in, and communicating milestones along the way.
> Mental Flexibility & Self Awareness - You’ll have to frequently adapt based on new data, results, and feedback on your ideas and performance.
> Proficient at data mining, extraction and organization of raw format data from various sources such as Greenhouse, payroll system, gitlab, and more.
> Proficiency in querying, scripting, an automation with tools such as Python and SQL.
