About the Role:

The Senior Director of Sales Operations is a pivotal role within Qumulo, responsible for driving the effectiveness and efficiency of our sales organization. This strategic leader will partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies, optimize processes, and provide insights that drive sales performance and growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sales strategy, data-driven decision-making, reseller models and a proven track record in sales operations leadership. Candidates in and around the Greater Seattle Area are strongly preferred but remote candidates located in the United States will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to define the sales strategy, set annual goals, and develop key initiatives to drive revenue growth.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Analyze, design, and implement processes that streamline the sales cycle, improve team productivity, and enhance overall sales effectiveness.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Oversee sales analytics, KPIs, and reporting systems to provide insights into sales performance and drive data-backed decision-making.
  • Forecasting & Pipeline Management: Lead forecasting and pipeline management to accurately project revenue, identify gaps, and align resources to meet targets.
  • Technology & Tools Management: Partner with system teams and other stakeholders to implement and optimize Salesforce and other sales tools, ensuring that systems are aligned with sales goals and support efficient workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Finance, Product, and Customer Success to ensure alignment and foster a cohesive approach to customer acquisition and retention.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a team of sales operations professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 15 years in Sales Operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the technology or data storage industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), BI tools, and data analysis.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on driving results and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to translate business goals into actionable sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to executive leadership.

Key Benefits

The annual pay range for the role is USD $224,000 - $330,000. This is eligible for a leadership bonus as part of the compensation plan, depending on the terms of the applicable plan.

Individual pay depends on various factors, such as role level, relevant experience and skills, and location. Pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the pay range applicable at the time.
