QA Engineer Scope of Work:

We are looking for a talented QA Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have experience in daily testing procedures, including both manual and automated tests, with a particular focus on Android software and cloud services. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.
  • Conduct daily testing activities, including regression testing, smoke testing, and exploratory testing, to identify and address any defects or issues.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify testing requirements and priorities.
  • Perform root cause analysis of defects and work proactively to prevent future occurrences.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in quality assurance and testing methodologies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance and software testing.
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in testing Android applications and familiarity with Android SDK and development tools.
  • Proficiency in creating and executing automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Shell scripting.
  • ISTQB or similar certification in software testing.
  • Familiarity with payment processing software
