About the Role

Quest Partners is seeking a Technical Middle Office Analyst to support the Operations, Finance, and Accounting Group.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for all middle and back office functions
  • Automate existing processes that are currently time consuming, manual, and prone to error
  • Create SQL scripts to query routine and ad hoc data requests
  • Monitoring third-party platforms for trade and position management
  • Perform all back-office functions (which will be taught) including:
    • Reconciliations
    • Rolling FX positions
    • Fee and Commission Checking
    • Broker and Service Provider relationship management
  • Help deliver timely position data accuracy, P&L and NAV

 

Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related degree.
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases.
  • Advanced Excel skills – vlookups, pivots, understanding VBA scripts – and a data-driven approach.
  • Passion for the financial markets and working with large amounts of data.
  • Capable of setting priorities and carrying multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt.
  • Eager to work within a team of people who challenge you and make you better at what you do.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership, with a demonstrable track record of delivering results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, with an aptitude towards client service.
  • Desired Skills
    • Experience with Python scripting
    • Experience writing Excel macros with VBA
    • Experience in Operations; buy-side experience at a hedge fund with direct exposure to traders/PMs preferred.
    • Experience with liquid markets – futures preferred
    • High volume trading experience

The base range for this role is expected to be between $85,000 and $110,000. This does not include other aspects of compensation such as discretionary bonus and a competitive comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to a candidate will vary within the range above depending on factors such as qualifications, education, and skill level.
