Human Resources Business Partner

The HR Business Partner will be responsible for coaching, guiding and supporting line managers and ensuring the effective delivery of the people strategy. You will be joining a highly collaborative and supportive HR team who are on a journey to embed a strategic people function within the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage all aspects of employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance improvement, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement performance management systems that align with organizational goals and employee development.
  • Utilize HRIS (HiBob) for data analysis and reporting, optimizing HR processes and decision-making through data-driven insights.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with line managers and other internal stakeholders, providing guidance and support in HR-related matters.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to line managers, enhancing their capabilities in managing their teams effectively.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in managing HR initiatives within a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Lead change management efforts, ensuring smooth transitions and adaptation among staff during organizational changes.
  • Coordinate with external service providers for talent acquisition, payroll, and benefits, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery.
  • Support senior HR leadership in developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive workplace culture and employee value proposition, aligning with company goals and values.
  • Stay abreast of current HR practices and legal requirements, ensuring that the organization remains compliant with employment law and regulations.
  • Update and maintain HR policies and procedures to reflect changes in the legal and business environment.
  • Lead and manage HR projects, demonstrating initiative in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Support ad-hoc HR initiatives and projects as needed, aligning with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization regarding HR policies, changes, and initiatives.
  • Facilitate open and transparent communication channels between employees and management.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Degree and CIPD qualified, or equivalent experience within HR roles
  • Industry experience within Pharmaceuticals / Life Sciences / Biotechnology is essential
  • Sound knowledge of UK employment law and developments in the field
  • Ability to operate across all levels of the organisation with a strong teamwork ethos
  • A solutions focused approach with proven ability to support managers in identifying and resolving people related issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change with a personal growth mindset
