Job Description

As Senior Technical Marketing Manager, you play a key role in defining and prioritizing our product roadmap. In this role, you will act as an in-house expert for applications that utilize our next-generation protein sequencing platforms. You will develop tools that enable customers to develop new applications and leverage those learnings to prioritize internal development efforts. You will work closely with the applications development team to identify customer needs and determine how best to meet those needs through the creation of new applications, and generate key proof of concept data needed to drive commercial opportunities. You have a deep love for proteomics, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable rolling up your sleeves to contribute in any capacity required.

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Own and communicate the application product strategy and multi-year roadmap
  • Develop a strategic plan for platform growth in market segments driven by insights and customer use cases
  • Identify and prioritize new applications with analytical and financial models to support the business case
  • Identify and drive external partnership opportunities to deliver a complete solution
  • Maintain a clear understanding of competitive landscape
  • Represent the company at industry conferences
  • Create technical content such as white papers, webinars, etc., 

Qualifications

Baseline skills, experiences, and attributes:

  • At least 5 years experience in life science product management or experience driving an applications team for disruptive platform(s)
  • Experience working in a customer facing role with connections to key opinion leaders in the field of proteomics and/or genomics
  • Sound business judgment and discretion for managing projects
  • Ability to develop and execute against dynamic timelines and balance multiple projects
  • Experience with proteomics is highly desirable
  • Masters/PhD in a relevant field (e.g. Biological Sciences, or Engineering)

Ideally, you also have these skills, experiences, and attributes, but it is ok if you don’t:

  • Experience developing products for a regulated environment
  • Programming or bioinformatics experience
  • MBA

Travel

Domestic and international travel 25% - 40% of the time depending on location.
