The Role

We're seeking an accomplished and well-rounded Senior SDET to join our great team, which is making a huge impact by delivering new-age insurance solutions to modern society. You'll ensure that API components of the backend works according to customer needs. Our friendly team of highly experienced SDETs loves to learn and create. We encourage bringing highly efficient solutions that ensure high quality from end to end.

Your day-to-day

  1. Responsible for test planning, test creation, testing a large module or a large component and designing test scenarios for a feature, set of features, or whole feature area
  2. Design and develop feature, integration and regression tests using industry standard tools
  3. Participate in development of scalable and robust test automation frameworks and scripts
  4. Design end to end test scenarios to work through limited information and vague problem definitions
  5. Work independently and collaborate with other teams across the business/engineering
  6. Lead software quality engineering discussions in a detailed manner and mentors other quality engineers.
  7. Other duties as assigned

About You

  • 3+ years of strong programming and scripting experience  (Python/GoLang preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in developing test framework (from scratch preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in designing test scenarios for end to end feature testing
  • 3+ years of experience in developing Test Strategy/Test Plan and other related testing artifacts
  • 3+ years of experience in API driven Backend testing (in microservice based architecture preferred)
  • Prior experience in integrating testing artifacts with CI/CD pipeline (Gitlab/Github/Jenkins/Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Able to work under minimal supervision and quick to adopt new technologies
  • Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
  • Shares knowledge, power, and credit, establishing trust, credibility, and goodwill
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity
  • Strong problem solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments

Bonus Points

  • 2+ years of experience in P&C Insurance domain
  • Prior knowledge in Docker, K8s, AWS
  • Desire to automate everything and reduce the time required to manually test products
  • Expert in breaking down problems and identify scenarios to provide end to end test coverage

Salary: $150,000 to $204,000*

*Please note that the final salary offered will be determined based on the selected candidate's skills, and experience, as well as the internal salary structure at Quanata. Our aim is to offer a competitive and equitable compensation package that reflects the candidate's expertise and contributions to our organization.

  • Hours: We maintain core meeting hours from 9AM - 3PM Pacific time for collaborating with team members across all time zones.
