Our mission is to drive the Federal Government business forward. As stewards of the business, we are focused on driving Experience Management revenue, winning (especially within key accounts), and supporting strategic initiatives that will increase XM sales.

Job Description:

Now more than ever, governments need to connect with their customers, employees and stakeholders in order to drive innovation, efficiency, and trust in government. In this role you will serve as the XM strategist and thought leader for our federal practice at Qualtrics. This position is hyper-focused on helping our teams win in the Federal XM market. To do so, this role will take a highly proactive approach to key account engagement, solution strategy, and sales campaign execution. In other words, this role will be the ‘tip of the spear’. We will go deep with strategic agencies, be proactive in creating opportunities in the federal market, know everything about our competitors, and support high value cross-functional initiatives. This position will work closely with our sales team during the pre-sales process to help our federal government clients and prospects understand how XM can help them achieve their agency missions and business objectives.

  • Work with the public sector industry team to generate and implement the go-to-market strategy for XM in the public sector
    • Develop and implement product positioning, messaging and strategies to pursue aggressive growth goals for the public sector industry across the 4 XM pillars - Customer, Employee, Product, and Brand
    • Understand the competitive landscape and identify strategic opportunities and threats while staying current on market trends within public sector
  • Develop thought leadership content, including academic and practitioner articles, joint publications, podcasts, conference presentations or webinars


  • Graduate degree, preferably in a related field (e.g. Public Policy, Business, Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, etc.)
  • Experience working in or with the US federal government
  • Experience implementing or consulting on the design of Experience Management (XM) Programs - Customer (preferred) or Employee
  • A strong knowledge of survey/assessment design, getting PRA clearance for government surveys, change management consulting, and data analysis 
  • A strong understanding of U.S. political processes, including the roles and decision-making processes of the Executive and Legislative branches at both the federal and state level
  • Demonstrated ability to persuasively communicate complex concepts at the highest level of government and academic circles
  • Travel expectations around 25%


  • Public service work in federal government offices
  • Experience in the technology industry, especially SaaS
  • Leadership and management experience
