The Director of Business Development & Client Service for Intermediary Distribution in the South/Southeast region is responsible for developing partnerships with target prospects to establish our product on their platform for distribution and driving sales of the firm’s products and services through RIAs, Bank Trusts, multi-family offices and Broker/Dealer channels. An integral part of our distribution organization, this position serves as the face of Pzena to our clients, building relationships that have a direct impact on our growth. Responsibilities:

Establish and deepen partnerships with targeted RIAs, Bank Trusts, multi-family offices, as well as select Wirehouse, Independent and Regional Broker Dealers to increase sales and grow market share

Develop and execute sales strategies that will maximize market penetration and increase customer loyalty in designated firms and raise assets

Develop and successfully close an opportunity pipeline with RIAs, Bank Trusts, multi-family offices, and select wirehouses/financial advisory teams to generate revenue and meet sales goals

Partner with other members of the Marketing department to ensure alignment around business strategy, and capitalize on opportunities and overcome challenges

Conduct effective group and individual presentations designed to educate and support financial advisors to better serve their clients and prospects

Demonstrated track record of growing gross and net sales across multiple channels

Superior knowledge of investment products and the competitive landscape

Ability to build credibility through technical, content driven investment discussion; “credibility through content” by articulating our research and strategies effectively

Proven ability to develop new client relationships and deepen existing client relationships by providing superior service by using good judgement and intuition to understand client needs and challenges

Thoughtful and consistent segmentation strategy to ensure partnership with top tier Wealth Management firms

Proven ability to analyze data, create and implement a Business Plan

Excellent listening skills with a natural inclination to focus on customer needs

Strong presentation and communication skills
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

Series 7 & 63 required; advanced industry designations (CFA, CIMA, CAIA) highly preferred

Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the South/Southeast region intermediary market and a proven track record of success, particularly with RIAs with focus in Florida, Georgia and/or Texas preferred

An established, strong network within RIAs in the South/Southeast region and superior references from that network

Ability to travel weekly and across a large territory

Must be located in South/Southeast USA
Salary: $150,000 USD Annually
The actual base salary may vary depending on factors, including, but not limited to location, work experience, education, training, skill level, and market conditions. At Pzena Investment Management, base salary is just one component of the total compensation, which may include, year-end discretionary bonus and employee benefits.
