Position Summary [Case Team Leader]

As a Consultant at Putnam you will help lead and manage a team of Associate & Life Sciences Consultants to complete projects [with a focus on the Medical & Scientific Affairs Practice]. Our diverse casework spans portfolio and indication prioritization, asset development strategy, scientific narrative, integrated medical evidence, launch strategy, stakeholder engagement, and digital health strategy including digital therapeutics and AI algorithms.

As a case team leader you will work with Principals and Partners and: 

  • Interact with Medical Affairs clients to understand problems, and develop and refine hypotheses to test
  • Break down and structure complex strategic and analytical problems that constitute the core of the team’s work
  • Lead the daily operations of the Medical & Scientific Practice team in executing and synthesizing analyses into key findings and actionable recommendation and participate in delivering these recommendations to our clients
  • Prepare and deliver key findings and recommendations against key business problem to clients
  • Coach junior staff on project execution and management

 

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate for the Consultant position will:

  • The ideal candidate for the Consultant position will have demonstrated excellence during both her / his academic career.
  • MD, PhD, or PharmD required. 
  • Previous full-time work experiences (minimum 3-4 years') with other top-tier consulting firms or within the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industries.
  • Proven analytic abilities, presentation skills, team management experience and a team-oriented attitude are essential.
  • A working knowledge of the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is also a prerequisite.
  • Relevant analytical experiences in life science industry is a plus. 
  • Role hired into will be based on experience, more senior roles may be available.
