Pure Storage, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced BI Engineer - Tableau Developer to join our team. As a BI Engineer - Tableau Developer, you will be in a customer-facing role, responsible for requirements analysis, design and implementing effective data visualization solutions, creating interactive reports and dashboards, and providing valuable insights to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. While proficiency in Tableau is the primary requirement for this role, expertise in similar tools like QlikView/Qlik Sense, Salesforce CRM Analytics , Power BI, or AWS QuickSight will be advantageous for effectively integrating data from diverse sources.
Technical Qualifications:
- 4+years of experience in designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau that effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical users.
- 2+years of working knowledge on Snowflake.
- Familiarity with working with GTM data and exposure to Salesforce.
- Having done Quality Assurance in prior roles as additional responsibilities.
- Be able to operate as a Fullstack BI engineer when need be.
- Experience with Salesforce Einstein Analytics & SOQL is value add.
- Hands-on experience on Python , Pyspark.
- Develop and maintain data sources, data extracts, and data models to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Tableau software and data visualization techniques, and incorporate new features and capabilities into existing reports and dashboards.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with existing Tableau reports and dashboards, and implement solutions to optimize performance and usability.
- Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights and reporting solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data visualization and design principles, with the ability to transform complex data sets into simple and intuitive visualizations.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, database design, and SQL.
- Experience with data integration, ETL, and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Strong communication skills.
- An ability to talk both to the technical teams responsible for the data and comfortable explaining data and conclusions to non-technical teams.
- Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server Certification is a plus.
- Experience with Cloud Database systems like Snowflake or AWS Redshift will be a plus.
