Pure Storage is seeking a Senior Business Data Analyst to join our Operations team. This role will be pivotal in driving data-informed decisions that enhance manufacturing processes and overall financial performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, programming, manufacturing operations, cost analysis, and a deep understanding of finance and cost accounting principles.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING..
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to extract, analyze, and interpret complex datasets, focusing on manufacturing efficiency, cost structures, and financial performance.
- Develop and maintain software scripts and applications to automate data processing, quarterly reporting, and cost analyses using programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
- Conduct detailed cost analyses to understand manufacturing costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Leverage expertise in finance and cost accounting principles to evaluate the financial impact of manufacturing operations and support the development of operational dashboards, KPIs, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Collaborate with manufacturing operations, key suppliers, finance, and BI teams to ensure alignment of data strategies with business objectives.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to create clear and compelling reports and dashboards that communicate analytical findings aligned with the company’s goals and strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in data analytics, manufacturing processes, and cost accounting to proactively recommend and implement improvements in tools and techniques.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM...
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business data analysis, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and R, along with experience in data visualization tools like Tableau.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to process and interpret large datasets.
- Proven experience in cost analysis and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
- In-depth knowledge of finance and cost accounting principles.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to diverse audiences effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
The annual base salary range is: $145,000 - $218,000.
Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
