WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Buyer to join our team. The Project Buyer will be responsible for procuring test equipment and infrastructure equipment for both internal and external project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in procurement, with a background in project management. You will be in the forefront working across multiple functional teams within Pure and to optimize operational efficiencies. With your passion for project management, you will help to define the future of how Pure Storage scales and supports its continually increasing global demand. 

SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of procurement, including:
    • Aligning requirements with stakeholders
    • Developing Purchase Requisitions
    • Placing Purchase Orders
    • Monitoring the receiving and invoice process
    • Collaborating with the Finance Accounts Payable team to ensure timely payment
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the procurement process.
  • Maintain an Order Status Dashboard to track and report on the status of orders.
  • Establish and execute a communication plan that serves the needs of all internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Utilize Smartsheet, MS Project, Google Suite, and JIRA for order management and project communication purposes.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on purchasing server product test equipment and infrastructure equipment.
  • Experience in managing procurement projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in using Smartsheet, MS Project, Google Suite, and JIRA for project management and tracking.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of project management practices, with the ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts is required.
  • Knowledge of Asset Lifecycle Management and experience working with Finance Audit on Procurement Policy, Asset Tracking and Audit is a plus.
  • Project Management Certification or related training is a plus.
  • You will be based in Lehi, Utah. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
The annual base salary range is: $33.00 Hourly– $50.00 Hourly. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
 
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
