You will be responsible for design, development and expansion of data assets that support business intelligence, advanced analytics, and reporting. You will also develop, maintain, and support the enterprise data warehouse system, corresponding data marts, and data interfaces for use in reporting, analytics, and various applications. Deep experience building data management Data savviness and a keen understanding of data management life cycle is critical for this role. Crisp communication and the ability to influence decisions is also important. Program Management capabilities will be needed to successfully deliver in this role.
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture. Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources into Snowflake. Build and maintain the data transformation layer for consumption by stakeholders.
- Keep our data secure while building data products to derive business insights from the data.
- Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
- Team Lead responsible for the quality and on-time delivery of the development milestones.
- Responsible for coaching other junior members of the team on their deliveries.
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
- Communication with internal team members and stakeholders in other time zones for requirements clarification and progress reporting.
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and familiarity with various databases.
- Experience building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
- Extracting data from various sources, such as databases, log files, and APIs.
- Transforming data from its raw form into a structured format suitable for analysis.
- Loading data into a data warehouse or other data store for use by analysts and data scientists.
- Building and maintaining data pipelines using tools such as SQL, Python, etc.
