We are looking for an experienced, creative and high Marketing Director to lead our EMEA Partner, Alliance and Distribution Marketing. With a broad skill set to take us to the next level with all our Route To Market (RTM) EMEA partner audiences. This role sits within our Global Partner Marketing organization, reporting to the Head of Global Partner Marketing. 

Key to this position is demonstrable success in developing and executing effective marketing programs for and with a network of all RTM partners. The incumbent will have a wide understanding of engagement points (alliance, partner & distribution marketing; partner programs; partner enablement; field marketing; awareness building and analytics) through internal and external viewpoints. Additionally, this position will require the individual to craft a comprehensive and integrated roadmap and plan to advance all RTM partner audiences.   

This role requires a high degree of collaboration across several stakeholders, including the EMEA leaders for Partner Sales, Alliances and Global Distribution, along with EMEA field marketing leaders. You will have the opportunity to evaluate our partner ecosystem and with your key stakeholders, build a comprehensive plan which you will execute with the field teams.



  • Develop and execute an EMEA Partner, Alliance & Distribution marketing strategy along with key stakeholders
  • Through building relationships with a focused set of EMEA strategic partners, create, implement and execute strategic partner programs, go-to-market strategies and initiatives to drive loyalty and desired behavior.
  • Develop KPIs to monitor progress (campaigns, pipeline, opportunity tracking, etc) and measure EMEA region impact. Hold stakeholders accountable to progress.
  • Manage EMEA MDF in conjunction with field marketing leaders 
  • Partner closely with internal marketing teams - integrated marketing, digital, product marketing, etc - to integrate messaging of Pure’s joint offerings.
  • Support and manage EMEA enablement fund in collaboration with EMEA Partner Sales leader
  • Collaborate with EMEA field marketing leaders to ensure partner, alliances and distribution are supported in their regions with comprehensive marketing plans 
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of partners to effectively develop strong partner messaging focused on “what’s in it for the Partner?” business value. 
  • Understand industry, organization and functional partner perceptions and communication needs with a focus on delivering what partners need.
  • Blend Pure Storage’s company vision and differentiated value proposition with appropriate industry benchmarks and trends to influence our strategic partners to place Pure ahead of our competition.
  • Interact with and influence Pure sales and field leadership communities on the importance of how our programs will “move the needle” with the Pure partner ecosystem
  • Drive internal and external communication to create thought leadership and impact the awareness of our Alliance's solutions in the market, with our partners, within our Alliance Partners and Pure Storage
  • Proactively represent partner priorities with Pure’s global teams including field marketing, product marketing, integrated marketing, digital marketing, and events marketing
  • Request, evaluate and manage budget needs and requirements for in-region programs and activities.


  • 12-15 years experience in an enterprise marketing role preferably within the technology industry, preferably with partner, alliance or distributor marketing experience
  • Track record of working with sales, the channel, alliance partners, distribution, customers, field/global marketing
  • Experience with a broad array of executives and leaders in multiple functions and geographies - high collaboration, influence and relationship building skills
  • Extensive experience developing go-to-market plans
  • Understanding of a broad range of marketing activities and disciplines
  • Extensive knowledge of and proven track record of 'needle moving' activities with strategic partners such as technology alliances, cloud service providers, solution resellers and influencers, channel partners, distributors and global systems integrators
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading skill set with the ability to present concepts verbally
  • Capability to assess, plan, and organize many activities simultaneously 
  • Ability to measure the effectiveness and ROI of marketing activities, strong project
    management skills
  • Ability to continually innovate, think strategically and orchestrate many moving parts
  • High energy and passion with a “can do” attitude
  • A balance of strategic thinking with “roll up your sleeves” doing.
  • Excellent time management & communication (written & oral) skills - understanding of when to execute with urgency while meeting critical deadlines with attention to detail
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
