PURE IN PRAGUE
We opened our R&D Second Home (besides the one in Silicon Valley) in Prague in January 2020 and since then we have experienced unbelievable growth. Our Engineers are solving complex engineering problems (from low-level system software to cloud computing) that help us innovate our cutting-edge products. Besides our world-class Software Engineering teams, we have many other talented colleagues working in Product Management, Sales, Finance, and HR to name a few. What’s more, we’ve developed these teams from talent across the globe.
FlashArray Product Team
The product management team is responsible for driving the Software Roadmap for our flagship product, FlashArray. Product Managers focus on defining and driving software features and capabilities as well as being responsible for market and business analysis and product direction. The team works with cross-functional teams comprising of Engineering, CTO office, Partners, Marketing, Sales as well as Executive Staff. The Pure Storage Product Management team defines and drives the future of the all-flash array market.
SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE…
Flasharray Cloud Backup team delivers highly efficient point-in-time FlashArray snapshots to be retained on a non-Flasharray target (Cloud or on-prem). Customers across industry use this feature as a cost effective way for long term archival of snapshots or as a flexible DR.
- Define overall future product strategy with sustainable and compelling differentiation based on customer needs, competitive analysis, market and technology trends for the cloud backup domain
- Support and enable the product and solutions teams to design cloud enabled storage and compute architectures.
- Drive overall roadmap, feature tradeoffs, prioritization and requirements to deliver tangible business results for your product.
- Field/Sales – engage key account field sales teams and channel partners. Work with the teams to support the sales process and drive the overall customer engagement and feature adoption.
- Foster an active ecosystem of customers and partners.
- Responsible for competitive material development and SE/Sales support materials as well as customer presentations.
- Work closely with the executive team to establish the scope and goals of the project and provide leadership for the project teams
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- 8+ years of combined experience in a product management and product development roles
- Deep, technical understanding of enterprise storage environments, deployments and use cases
- Familiarity with concepts of disaster recovery, data protection, backups, snapshots, encryption and data security.
- Experience working with major hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, Google) storage tiers such as Amazon S3, Azure Blob, Wasabi etc.
- Make business decisions around pricing, packaging, and help focus our investments in the right areas
- Strategic leadership and strong business insight for long term growth of the product
- Executive presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience and a solid understanding of product life cycles, release milestones, from concept inception to product end-of-life
- Consistent record of taking ownership and driving results
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, Master’s Degree a plus.
- Good to have Associate level cloud certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, Azure Administrator
