Should you accept this challenge
As Product Manager in Pure’s Cloud Native Business Unit (Portworx), you will be responsible for core storage and data-path features in Portworx Enterprise product including technical roadmap, customer engagement, and overall execution. You will be part of the larger initiative that shapes how customers build the new-age application platform using different cloud-native services.
In this role, you will:
- Work with the engineering team and the overall Product Management organization to manage releases and updates of our offerings and bring new features to market.
- Follow the lean startup way to ensure that the product and market fit is constantly measured, product direction continues to delight customers and velocity of execution remains high
- Collect and document input from Portworx users, customers, and other stakeholders to understand customers' needs; develop strategy and roadmap for our offerings
- Engage with sales and marketing activities, including creating presentations, blogs, demos, and other technical collateral for our offerings
- Review and provide feedback on the product documentation to improve the overall customer experience.
- Work closely with the executive team to establish the scope and goals of the project and provide leadership for the program teams
- Foster an active ecosystem of customers and partners - interface with technology partners and vendors, both from the perspective of understanding their technology and product roadmap and influencing them to align with Pure strategy
To be successful in this role, you need to have
- 8+ years of combined experience in product management or product development roles
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, Master’s Degree a plus
- Experience with enterprise storage products and understanding of core storage concepts and functions.
- Good understanding of how cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes are transforming the infrastructure landscape and prior experience with cloud infrastructure technologies
- Broad understanding of the cloud-native services in areas of storage, data management and security
- Ability to drive grooming sessions with teams, when new work should be planned / backlog needs attention
- Demonstrated ability to take charge of tough problems, attacking them from different angles and bringing together a diverse array of stakeholders on the same page, and driving great business results.
- Ability to define the right metrics, track and refine them and extract insights to drive decision making.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile development environment and manage multiple, concurrent priorities and projects simultaneously
