We are looking for a Cloud Engineer who is passionate about collaborating with designers to build and maintain a consistent, modern, high quality UX.  

The User Experience team brings together designers and engineers to support the overall goal of providing a world class UX to all of our Cloud customers.  Here is a little of what the team is working on:

  • Building a UI Component Library that empowers individual product teams to innovate quickly and independently while still participating in the consistency and quality of the overall application
  • Reimagining the Pulumi Cloud onboarding experience by building features that support the journey of new Pulumi users, giving them the tools and information they need to successfully harness the power of the cloud.
  • Ensuring the Pulumi Cloud exemplifies frontend best practices through regular updates of our frontend frameworks and tools, maintenance of system-wide services, and support as needed for Cloud product teams.

While Pulumi is headquartered in Seattle, WA., we are dedicated to being a remote-first company. This role will be located remotely in the United States.

In This Role You Will:

  • Collaborate closely with designers and product managers to build features that help our customers get the most out of the Pulumi Cloud.
  • Build and maintain responsive, accessible, and performant front-end experiences in Angular and Typescript.
  • Develop shared UI web components using Stencil, with extensible APIs that support use cases across our platform.
  • Advocate for best practices in front-end development across the organization as an essential member of our Frontend Working Group.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions to drive technical excellence.

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years as a highly productive software engineer.
  • Passion for building great user experiences that meet customer needs
  • Experience supporting peers through high-quality code reviews and 
  • Willing to jump in where needed, including occasional backend and infrastructure changes
  • Works to clarify ambiguity and drive decisions
  • Has strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary Hiring Range: $166,000 - $209,000
  • All full-time employee offers at Pulumi include base salary, bonus or variable, equity and benefits (details below).
