Are you an empathetic Occupational Therapist with a keen interest in acute care?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our fantastic NHS client’s service located in Slough, Berkshire. This vacancy is available for the successful therapist to start as soon as possible, offering full time hours per week for an initial period of 5 months. 

The appointed Occupational Therapist will provide high quality and evidence based occupational therapy assessment and interventions, both group and individual, to people who access services and their carers/supporters/family members, in line with the occupational therapy pathways. In this role, you will play a critical part in the recovery and rehabilitation of patients admitted to the hospital, helping them regain independence in their daily activities and supporting their journey towards optimal health. Applying therapists should have previous experience within acute care to be considered for this role.

Skills and experience needed:

  • Previous experience within acute settings
  • Relevant degree/qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration

Duties will include:

  • Care-coordinating
  • Attending MDT meetings
  • Assessment and intervention of individual patients needs and progress
  • Working with other healthcare professionals
