We are currently looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Crawley, which is easily accessible via public transport.

About the role:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be working in a low and medium secure service for male patients who have been detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007) and who benefit from extended treatment and rehabilitation.

Your main responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist:

  • Communicate effectively with a range of clinicians, managers, directors, associate directors, people who access services, carers/supporter/family members, stakeholders and agencies
  • Provide compassionate and effective leadership to junior staff including support staff and assistants
  • Ensure the delivery of occupational therapy student placements
  • Support the completion of appraisals/personal development plans with junior staff
  • To be responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate policies, protocols and care pathways

What we are looking for in an Occupational Therapist:

  • Current HCPC registration
  • Demonstrates evidence highly effective clinical reasoning skills
  • Specialist knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models
