Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Band 7 Occupational Therapist with a specialization in paediatrics to join our NHS trust in London. As an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to children with ASD or learning difficulty's 

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Assessment of new referrals to the service Identification of needs and development of treatment plans for a range of needs; interventions; reviews; Completion of onward referrals as required; Completion of reports. 
  • The post holder will assess new referrals and provide intervention to support young people with ASD or LD and their families in the specific client group of having Care Education and Treatment Reviews (CETR). The interventions will aim to support the client to participate in activities of daily living and to remain in community settings. Assessment will include identifying and advising on management of underlying reasons for difficulties including sensory differences

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Significant experience working as an Occupational Therapist in paediatric settings. 
  • Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a proactive approach to staying informed about current trends and best practices in paediatric  occupational therapy.
