We are currently seeking a motivated Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our team in Petersfield, providing essential support to individuals with mental health needs.
Position Overview: As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges in Petersfield. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will assess clients' functional abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to promote independence and improve overall well-being. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of clients' occupational performance and functional abilities, taking into account their mental health needs and goals.
- Collaborate with clients to establish meaningful goals and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their needs and preferences.
- Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to address clients' cognitive, emotional, and psychosocial challenges.
- Provide support and guidance to clients in developing coping strategies and adaptive skills to enhance their independence and quality of life.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and support workers, to ensure integrated care and holistic treatment approaches.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Previous experience in a mental health setting, either through placements or employment, is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Commitment to providing person-centered care and maintaining high standards of professionalism.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
