Pulse have recently partnered with  one of the UK’s specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in London, which is easily accessible via public transport.
 
About the role:
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be working with children and young people with complex needs and disabilities aged between 3 and 19 years. 

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Provide assessment and advice for students within the PSRP using both formal and informal assessment tools.
  • Plan, implement and monitor individual and group intervention, seeking advice from senior Therapist as appropriate
  • Work with other therapists, teachers and LSAs within the PSRP to provide a coordinated and inclusive SaLT programme.
  • Work with mainstream teachers and LSAs to promote appropriate strategies and lesson delivery for PSRP students.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training to teaching and support staff, and to parents/carers and other professionals as appropriate.
  • Support the AAC needs of students where appropriate.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate case notes in line with RCSLT professional standards for all clinical contacts.
  • Maintain a high standard of report writing for annual reviews and attend annual reviews as appropriate.
  • Contribute to PLPs for students in the PSRP.
  • Attend regular clinical supervision and line management meetings, and to take part in the school’s professional development procedure.

What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:

  • A recognised professional degree qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Registered member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
  • Registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Work experience in mainstream schools 
  • Experience of Dysphagia in paediatrics
