Pulse have recently partnered with a leading private hospital. We are currently looking for an experienced Lead Clinical Pharmacist who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership for the service. This post is based in Central London, which is easily accessible via public transport.

About the role:
As a Lead Clinical Pharmacist, you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered, and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service whilst seamlessly incorporating other centre services.

Your main responsibilities as a Lead Clinical Pharmacist:

  • Continually promote the responsible, safe, and cost-effective prescribing of medicines to optimise clinical outcomes, minimise adverse reactions and errors.
  • Be available to medical, nursing and pharmacy staff to answer queries relating to individual patients and any protocols and policies within the Hospital.
  • Undertake clinical audit projects involving the use of medicines within the Hospital.
  • Identify changes in prescribing practices that may impact on the drugs budget and advise the Chief Pharmacist accordingly.

What we are looking for in a Lead Clinical Pharmacist:

  • Master’s degree in pharmacy/equivalent
  • Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Postgraduate Qualification in clinical pharmacy at diploma level or equivalent qualification gained or in progress.
  • MSC in Clinical Pharmacy
  • Palliative care experience
