Pulse have recently partnered with  one of the UK’s specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Ongar, which is easily accessible via public transport.
 
About the role:
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will provide engaging and effective speech and language therapy to a range of clients within schools, home and clinic settings.

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Assess and provide diagnoses and specialist advice on a range of communication disorders to other professionals and families both within schools / clinic
  • To work at an autonomous level demonstrating a specialist knowledge and range of therapeutic approaches
  • Maintain and use clinical skills and knowledge in a range of communication disorders to enable the supported management of a specialist caseload of children and young people.
  • Plan appropriate evidence based therapeutic intervention, making judgements about type and timing of treatment in collaboration with education staff/ school/ nursery / home as appropriate
  • Deliver group and individual therapy as required
  • Provide regular written and verbal advice, reports and therapy programmes to education staff, parents and other health professionals
  • Provide families with advice and training to support the management of intervention and ensure generalisation of targets
  • Evaluate treatment outcomes using a range of therapeutic and educational frameworks
  • Provide discharge reports as needed Professional Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload whilst recognising own professional boundaries and accessing supervision, advice and support when necessary

What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:

  • The legal right to work in the UK
  • HCPC or relevant governing body
  • Experience working in a similar role as a Speech and Language Therapist
