Pulse have recently partnered with  one of the UK’s specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Boston, which is easily accessible via public transport.
 
About the role:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service.

Your main responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist:

  • To be responsible for a defined caseload providing a high standard of Occupational Therapy to patients experiencing problems with their occupational performance. Together with the individual, assess needs, agree goals, implement intervention plans and evaluate progress
  • To provide effective Occupational Therapy to patients within the clinical area. With supervision from a Senior Occupational Therapist / Team Lead
  • To assess patients requiring Occupational Therapy and be responsible for planning, delivery and evaluation of their intervention
  • To be responsible for organising and prioritising designated caseload, demonstrating effective clinical reasoning, with support from the Senior Occupational Therapist
  • To contribute to clinical decision-making related to patient care through active participation in communication networks, which may include multi-disciplinary meetings, case conference or providing written reports
  • To provide supportive and sensitive communication, written and verbal advice to patients, carers and staff, whilst demonstrating an understanding of the nature and effects of some information and of barriers to effective communication e.g. sensory impairment

What we are looking for in an Occupational Therapist:

  • HCPC Registration
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience working with older patients
