Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our team. The successful candidate will take on a key leadership role within mental health services, providing expert clinical care and guidance to support the wellbeing of adults experiencing mental health challenges. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of psychiatry while advancing your career with a dynamic and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adults with a range of mental health disorders.
  • Leading and supervising multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Developing and implementing innovative strategies to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Providing clinical leadership and expertise in the development and delivery of mental health services.
  • Participating in service development, audit, and research activities to enhance the quality of care provided.
  • Providing expert advice and consultation to colleagues, patients, and external agencies as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Psychiatry.
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent qualification.
  • Substantial experience working as a Consultant Psychiatrist within adult mental health services.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and stakeholders.
