Job Description: We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Band 5 Acute Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work across various acute care settings, providing essential occupational therapy services to individuals experiencing mental health crises or acute episodes. As an Acute Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in promoting recovery, independence, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' functional abilities and occupational performance within acute care settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address immediate needs and promote recovery goals.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and activities to enhance clients' engagement, functional skills, and coping strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic care delivery.
  • Educate clients and their families on adaptive techniques, environmental modifications, and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Minimum of Band 5 experience within acute care or mental health settings.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to fast-paced acute care environments.
  • Commitment to delivering person-centered care and promoting recovery-oriented practices.
