Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Band 5 Community Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will work in diverse community settings, providing essential occupational therapy services to individuals with mental health conditions. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in promoting independence, well-being, and meaningful engagement in daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' occupational performance and functional abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified needs and goals.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and activities to enhance clients' functional skills and independence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery and holistic support.
  • Educate clients and their families on adaptive techniques, equipment, and strategies to improve daily functioning.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Minimum of Band 5 experience within mental health or community settings.
  • Must have access to a car and a valid driver's license.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to providing person-centered care and promoting recovery-oriented practices.
