Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to adult patients.
- Lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams, including junior doctors, nurses, and support staff.
- Develop and implement innovative treatment plans tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient.
- Offer specialist advice and consultation to colleagues and external stakeholders as required.
- Participate in clinical governance activities, including audits, reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, protocols, and clinical guidelines.
- Keep abreast of developments in the field of psychiatry and ensure the application of best practices in clinical care.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Accreditation as a Consultant Psychiatrist and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Psychiatry.
- Substantial experience working as a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry, with a demonstrable track record of excellence in clinical practice.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a commitment to collaborative working.
- A passion for delivering patient-centered care and improving mental health outcomes.
