Role Overview: We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our esteemed team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy interventions to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, supporting their recovery and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals referred to occupational therapy services, considering their physical, psychological, and social needs.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on promoting functional independence, enhancing daily living skills, and achieving meaningful goals.
  • Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, including activity analysis, environmental modifications, and cognitive-behavioral approaches, to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, workshops, and training programs to support clients in developing coping strategies, improving social skills, and fostering engagement in meaningful occupations.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and support workers, to ensure integrated and holistic care.
  • Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize client outcomes and promote recovery.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Minimum of Band 6 experience within mental health or a related setting.
  • Specialized knowledge and experience in delivering occupational therapy interventions to individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to develop innovative and client-centered treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build therapeutic relationships and collaborate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.
