Job Description: We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic StR Lower in Adult Psychiatry to join our team. As a Senior Training Registrar (StR) Lower, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and further your career in adult psychiatry. You will work under the supervision of experienced consultants and multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a range of mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations of adult patients presenting with mental health concerns.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions, including medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention, to support patients' recovery.
  • Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and clinical supervision sessions to review cases and contribute to treatment planning.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development activities and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge in adult psychiatry.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Completion of foundation training and at least one year of clinical experience in psychiatry.
  • Enthusiasm for working in adult psychiatry and a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse caseload in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Dedication to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of psychiatry.
