Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry to join our outpatient services team. As a Specialty Doctor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychiatric care to adult patients within outpatient settings. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and motivated psychiatrist looking to make a difference in the lives of individuals with mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulating diagnosis and treatment plans for adult patients within outpatient services.
- Providing evidence-based psychiatric interventions, including medication management and psychotherapy, to address the mental health needs of patients.
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and community support workers, to ensure coordinated care and support for patients.
- Participating in clinical meetings, case conferences, and service development activities to contribute to the ongoing improvement of mental health services.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
Requirements:
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice in the UK.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry within outpatient settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting psychiatric assessments, formulating diagnoses, and developing individualized treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting recovery-oriented practices.
